New Year … New Blog
2016 A time to reflect on the past year, celebrate successes, learn from the not so successful and set some lofty goals for the new year. This past year for AquaLux was a busy one. It brought us several new clients and challenges, we refreshed our website, and sadly said goodbye to Alyssa, our co-worker, environmental scientist and blogger extraordinaire. She has moved back to Victoria but whale she is fulfilling her porpoise, we know she is having a swimmingly FINtastic time and maybe she’ll meet a guy named Gil who will be her lobster (iconic Friends reference) … and “keep her feet wet” with a post or two… okay I’m done … really!
Looking ahead, we have another big year planned and anticipate exciting new possibilities. We are starting off with our new BLOG, a place where we hope you will find interesting information about the aquarist hobby. We will discuss issues near to our heart with aquatic conservation and sustainability, share detailed information about coral, fish, aquarium equipment, look behind the curtain for AquaLux Aquatics and share some projects as they unfold.
At AquaLux Aquatics, our goal has been to provide a complete aquarium solution. The first step was to love what we do… Check! Next, we established our aquarium design and maintenance business in Toronto, Ontario and now, with the addition of the blog we are one step closer to that goal. We have plans for another big challenge to tackle but more to come on that later. We continue to look for ways to grow as a company but remain small enough to care. Thank you to our existing clients and looking forward to the new ones coming our way.
